The Meaning of Novel Wonder
Wonder is the spark of creativity.
All my work from photography to writing is injected with themes of faith in Jesus, love for creativity, and the pursuit for wonder. I’m always exploring cinematic aesthetics and creative storytelling. I strive to capture people in a new yet timeless way—whether through photographing someone’s natural self or hearing a stranger’s story as I write them a poem. If you’re interested in booking me for a photo shoot or booking my poetry booth for a private event, let’s work together.
Let’s work together!
Typewriter Poetry
The Typewriter Poetry Booth is a timeless experience like stepping into the past. Designed for weddings, galas, parties—you name it. Every poem is thoughtfully and spontaneously written on a vintage typewriter.
THE EXPERIENCE
I set up my booth at your event, inviting your guests to give me prompts on a request form in exchange for personalized custom poems as time allows. Each poem becomes a unique keepsake to frame, or a gift to a loved one.
THE STYLE
Typewritten on deckle-edged cotton paper. Poetry moves between free verse and lyric. Words are encouraging, whimsical, faith-rooted, imaginative, sincere.
HOW THE POETRY BOOTH WORKS
1. Reach out with your event details and date.
2. We’ll discuss your event over a phone chat and make sure the poetry booth fits your vision. I’ll confirm rates with you, then we’ll lock it in with a contract.
3. At your event, I’ll set up my display inviting guests to give me a word. I’ll typewrite their poems on 5x7 paper as time allows. For most events, I have an assistant with me to help with setup and guest experience.
4. Rates vary by guest count, time range, and the size and nature of the event.
Portrait Sessions
Portrait sessions are a genre of visual storytelling I love. They give me the chance to capture people in an authentic way.
Every photograph is made to tell your story with a timeless aesthetic. I photograph weddings, editorial portraits, couples, grads, families, and newborns.
THE EXPERIENCE
I prioritize real human connections and the beautiful details. I believe God designed us all so uniquely and I strive to capture that uniqueness.
THE STYLE
Natural light, story-focused, cinematic, timeless. Combining natural motion with creative posing, candid moments, and rich filmic editing.

Frequently Asked
-
A typewriter poetry booth is a live, on-site poetry experience where a poet sets up a vintage typewriter at your event and writes personalized poems for guests on the spot. With the Novel Wonder poetry booth, guests provide a word or brief prompt, and Cameron types a unique poem on premium deckle-edged cotton paper, a keepsake they can frame or gift to a loved one.
-
Absolutely! Novel Wonder offers both. Cameron shoots weddings with at least one assistant, and for combined bookings brings a second assistant so he can type custom poems during the reception or cocktail hour while his team covers photography.
-
For weddings, booking 6–12 months in advance is recommended, especially for peak season dates. For portrait sessions and standalone poetry booth events, 4-8 weeks is typically sufficient. Reach out to confirm availability.
-
The poetry booth is a natural fit for weddings, galas, holiday parties, corporate events, farmers markets, and intimate private gatherings. Anywhere guests have a few minutes to share something meaningful — or just something fun.
-
Rates vary by guest count, event duration, and size. Contact Cameron directly with your event details for a custom quote.
-
Every poem Cameron writes is personal and real. For custom poems, they are made spontaneously and handcrafted on a vintage typewriter. No two are alike. They're not printed, not templated, and not generated by AI. They're written for that specific person, in that moment, on that specific day.
-
Yes! I am always open to traveling for the right wedding or event. Travel expenses are a separate cost included in final contracts.
-
Yes, after receiving a link to your gallery, you can order any and all of your photos to print straight from there. It’s super easy and the results are high quality.
-
It depends on the size and flow of the event. With larger events, I generally ask guests to give me a single word or simple idea as their prompt. In those cases, each poem stays concise, meaningful, and I can create as many as possible within the time allotted—often 15-20 per hour.
-
For larger events Cameron works as efficiently as possible within the time allotted, prioritizing guests who've submitted prompts.
For events where full coverage matters, reach out to discuss extended time or a follow-up commission option.
-
Absolutely. Many couples use the poems as a living guest book — Cameron can set up a collection basket so every poem becomes part of a keepsake the couple keeps forever. Some guests take their poem home; others contribute theirs to the collection. Both work beautifully.
-
The poetry booth is typically comparable in cost to most photo booth rentals, but the experience is fundamentally different. Instead of a group selfie, each guest leaves with a personalized, handwritten piece of art made specifically for them — something they're likely to frame rather than forget. Many couples add it alongside photography rather than instead of it.
