Hello!

I’m Cameron.

A man stands in a field during sunset with a vintage camera hanging around his neck, one foot on a wooden chair, and a lantern on a small table nearby.

I’m a creative storyteller specializing in portrait photography and custom poetry in the Southeast. With a decade of experience in professional photography, I’m always taking on new projects that allow me to tell a real stories through visuals and creative expression. I have also written, directed, and shot several short films.

When I’m not taking portraits, I make custom typewriter poetry on the spot for strangers at various events. I’ve brought my custom poetry booth to the Biltmore Estate, Bedford Greenhouses, Arts in the Heart of Augusta, and several local markets. My work has been published in Ekstasis Magazine.

I am a follower of Christ and my faith in Jesus inspires me more than anything to create.

The Meaning of Novel Wonder

Wonder is the spark of creativity.

All my work from photography to writing is injected with themes of faith, creativity, and the search for wonder in all things. My aesthetic has been described as rich and warm—and my writing style imaginative and spiritual, with a good bit of wordplay thrown in.

I strive to capture people in a new but timeless way, whether through photographing someone’s natural self or hearing someone’s story as I write them poetry. If you’re interested in booking me for a photo shoot or booking my poetry booth for a private event, let’s work together.

Poetry Booth

The Custom Poetry Booth is an artisanal service  made to feel timeless, like stepping into the past. It’s designed for weddings, galas, parties—you name it. Every poem is thoughtfully and spontaneously written on a vintage typewriter.

EXPERIENCE
I set up my booth at your event, complete with signage, inviting your guests to give me word prompts on a request form, and write poems by prompts as time allows. Each poem becomes a unique keepsake to take home or gift.

STYLE
Typewritten on deckle-edged cotton paper. Poetry moves between free verse and lyric. Words are encouraging, whimsical, faith-based, imaginative, sincere, and original.

HOW THE POETRY BOOTH WORKS

1. Reach  out with your event details and date.

2. We’ll discuss your event over a phone chat and make sure the poetry booth fits your vision. I’ll confirm rates with you, then we’ll lock it in with a contract.

3. At your event, I’ll set up my display inviting guests to give me a word. I’ll typewrite their poems on 5x7 paper as time allows. For most events, I have an assistant with me to help with setup and guest experience.

4. Rates vary by guest count, time range, and the size and nature of the event.

Portrait Sessions

Portrait sessions are a genre of visual storytelling I love. They give me the chance to capture people in an authentic way.

Every photograph is made to tell your story with a timeless aesthetic. I photograph weddings, editorial portraits, couples, grads, families, and newborns.

EXPERIENCE
I prioritize real human connections and the beautiful details. I believe God designed us all so uniquely, and I strive to capture that uniqueness.

STYLE
Natural light, story-focused, cinematic, timeless. Rich, filmic editing. Combining natural motion with creative posing and candid moments.

Frequently Asked

  • Ultimately I write in free verse, with elements of light verse and lyric. When typing for events, everything is free-flowing. I tend towards rhymes and songlike cadence.

Tone can range depending on the prompt—but I always lean towards meaningful metaphors and personalized storytelling.

  • Yes! I am always open to traveling for the right wedding or event. Travel expenses are a separate cost included in final contracts.

  • Absolutely! I always shoot weddings with at least one assistant, and in this case I will bring a second so I can be fully present to type custom poems for your guests during the reception or cocktail hour, while my team covers the photography.

  • It depends on the size and flow of the event. With larger events, I generally ask guests to give me a single word or simple idea as their prompt. In those cases, each poem stays concise, meaningful, and I can create as many as possible within the time allotted—often 12+ per hour.

  • Yes, after receiving a link to your gallery, you can order any and all of your photos to print straight from there. It’s super easy and the results are high quality.

  • Poetry by its definition is an expressive form of art, and therefore intrinsically human. So, no, I don’t use AI to write poems!
